Debug4x: 50g Emulation Supported!!!!!!

  • Follow

Yes, you read that right!
Debug4x is proud and happy to announce emulation of the HP50g calculator.
AND ... the ROM Version is 2.09 (sorry only works for emulation and not real
calculators).

Before I get emails - YES, I do have permission to release this!

I should have mentioned that AhSoon who sometimes writes on this newsgroup
contributed hard work to get the emulation started. Also should thank
Christoph for his recent superb work on the EMU+ Port 2 problem and
improvements to the EMU as well as his generous comments on the kml
development.

In addition, I think HP has done a really nice job on the new HP50g machine.

By nice job do you mean a better keyboard? Can you comment further?

If you're so happy, do you still need the RKBA bit? the world would be a
better place without !

:)) I've just tested my program on the HP50g and all is working fine.
Are the changelog of the new ROMs available?

Thank you very much for your work!

I cannot recall ever seeing HP release change logs for ROMs.

Edit the "R50g800.kml" file to fix the left right menu scroll problem
as follows:
(the Offset values for both the Button 127 and Button 128)

# Left/right scroll menu keys
Button 127
	Type 1
	Size 15 15
	Offset 4 193
	Virtual
	OnDown
		Press 81
		Release 81
	End
	OnUp
		Press 33
		Release 33
	End
End

Button 128
	Type 1
	Size 15 15
	Offset 295 193
	Virtual
	OnDown
		Press 33
	End
	OnUp
		Release 33
	End
End

Enjoy this excellent emulation.

Hi William,
with VERSION I can see:

"Version HP49-C
Revision #2.09"

would it say HP50-C?

Best regards!!

This is a problem with the EMU48 - it has been fixed.
Go download Debug4x_b85a, it has a newer EMU48
and
the HP50 .kml files have this line:
"Class 50"

Sorry for the inconvenience, this one went right past me!

I am blown the hell away by this. I was almost in tears this morning.
I've been wanting an HP calculator for my Windows computer, and then I
get this gift from heaven!

Thank you so very much! This is unbelievable.
