Frankly, I didn't see all that much replay value in the first game
either. Oh sure, maybe the initial "Origin" bits but once you got past
that I didn't see much difference if I played a male human knight or
an elven thief from the city.

Actually, your origin was threaded into many of the adventures. Perhaps
it was moreso for certain origins. It was quite visible when I played a
mage and then again when I played a dwarven noble.
