Tell me what does it come to mind?
Forget about the MMOs look at the other non-MMO games
So if you exclude MMO, its the casual players or the younger players
that have their games bought by their parents that buy the most hence
PIRATE the less
How can you explain titles like Nancy Drew or Transformers being
there?
Will you tell me Nancy Drew is the 3rd most played PC Game in the
world right now? Please! Come on!
Or Transformers the 4th most played?
Lets cut the BS! They are among the most BOUGHT not PLAYED cause
unfortunately PLAYING is not equal to BUYING cause many that are
PLAYING STEAL the games they play.

Again what I've been telling since day one, forums like these are used
by hard-core gamers, the same gamers that are PIRATING, so its in
these groups and forums that a strong anti-PIRACY message has to be
sent over and over and over again.
Its sad cause you would expect the hard-core gamers the ones that have
the most passion for PC Games the ones to do less harm to it, but no,
its exactly the opposite, they love their hobby PC Games but that
doesn't stop them from doing the most DAMAGE anyone could do to PC
Games, STEALING, PIRATING, behaving like common thieves and in the
process slowly KILLING PC Games

In a certain context, that would be quite enjoyable. :)

Then move to console game playing. Far less pirating of those games. You
may become a much calmer, rational, laid back, likable person. And you
might even get laid. Or you could just rant on the console newsgroups
instead of here.

Sounds like a win-win to me.

Come on, come up with something new will you? Your posts used to at least

His output Valve is stuck open.

Responding to him does not help.

For me its clear, at least once a day a ANTI-PIRACY post should be
written in this group
Not only by me but, but by others also
And no I would never count on you to do that... the more the PIRACY
the better for Valve/STEAM so things like you are the last ones to do
anything against PIRACY

You are those that witness PIRACY with a smile and think "so sweet,

Isn't Bush right-of centre (and Franco)?

Yes, it takes effort from everyone to stop piracy. Good that you're
trying to help.

But you are in the wrong place doing the wrong things. What do you
think your posts can archive? The pirates are selfish, they bend the
laws inside their heads to think they're not thieves. Reading your
posts will not change their mind, and most of them probably have you
kill-filed already.

What you're doing now is just spamming the gaming groups and
bombarding people in there. And that's rather annoying.

If you want to fight piracy, do it in real life, not on the net. Talk
your families and friends out of piracy, and have them do the same.

"Hard core PC gamers" are a small niche part of the industry, and not
where the money is. You can whine and complain, but this part isn't
what the industry uses to pay the bills. Fortunately, you still get
enthusiast developers catering to this niche market, so you get the
gaming you want, but really not the noise you would want to hear. PC
game has stagnated around $1-$2 billion annually, while the rest of
the business is over $10 billion at this point.

I'll do it everywhere being it here or outside
One thing doesn't exclude the other

Outside I have had plenty of heated discussions including with close
friends that even lead to us getting along less and less lately... one
of them I don't even talk for over 6 months now...

Now if you feel you can do better, then please do it, you will be
helping me and many others, but please give alternatives, don't just
criticize and not present anything else
If you can do better PLEASE do it!

Your logic has many flaws. Nancy Drew is $19.99. That might have something
to do with it being near the top of the sales charts. The system
requirements for this game and the other kids/family/casual games are also
much lower which gives them a much larger potential market than say Crysis.
Transformers is a movie tie-in. I don't know why, but people buy them. It
was also near the top of console charts. Same for Harry Potter.

What big PC games were released near the week of July 14th? None. Also,
being the #3 game in sales in the US for one week doesn't equate to the
third most played game in the world.

PC gaming has never been huge do to the high cost of entry and constant
upgrades to be able to enjoy the latest and greatest games. The high costs
of producing games now is why PC gaming has declined. It is a safer business
bet to produce a console game than a PC game.
