With Take2 Management being the object of so much criticism for the
type of copy-protection they choose for Bioshock I bet those
responsible for the choice will tomorrow, Monday morning be called for
a meeting with Take2 President to explain now that Bioshock copy-
protection has been cracked.
Well guess what will be the obvious defense they, those at Take2
responsible for choosing Bioshock copy-protection will be
They will present "Mickmils" and "Highlandish" as their case study to
show why it was "wise" to choose the copy-protection Bioshock has.
Yet again both Mickmils and Highlandish have today again bragged about
how they PIRATED, STALKER, with STALKER being competition to Bioshock
and having no copy-protection, and both, yes BOTH having bought
Bioshock full price.
This is the perfect case study for Take2 Management! I bet it will
mean some promotions for them!
Bioshock competition with no copy-protection = Both Mickmils and
Highlandish PIRATED, STOLEN and played for free STALKER
Bioshock with their own choice of copy-protection = Both Mickmils and
Highlandish PAYED FULL PRICE! And none of them complaint against the
copy-protection used, perfect well behaved boys.
So I'm really picturing Monday morning those responsible for Bioshock
copy-protecting telling their bosses
"You see Boss, we are really making them pay for our product, its
working!"
"Oh yes Boss, we had some complaints but at the end they all take it
up, like good well behaved boys"
Conclusion, using AGGRESSIVE copy-protection systems upon PC Gamers
pays of quite well due to ANIMALS like Mickmils and Highlandish.
So please those that are offended by Bioshock copy-protection go ahead
and treat both Mickmils and Highlandish like nothing has happened.
This is like the army, if one screws up all PAY for it.
Mickmils and Highlandish screw up and enjoy doing so, and all the rest
of us honest customers have to PAY FOR IT.
Again, go ahead and treat Mickmils and Highlandish like Pals, so cools
they are.
You really don't want to lose Mickmils and Highlandish friendship do
you?
Oh god Mickmils and Highlandish friendship is precious! priceless!
For Mickmils and Highlandish friendship you will do anything even take
up Bioshock screw the customer copy-protection

So... what you're saying is that this shows exactly why copy protecting
games is a really good idea and why your campaign to remove copy
protection encourages piracy?

Same company, 2K appears to be a sub company of Take 2. At least that's
how it appears on the back of my limited edition tin box version of
Bioshock.

Friendship ? I post, like, what, once a week here, and my posts
are mostly uninteresting, I'm sure no one even noticed me here.
I won't comment on your lunatic ravings, some here are much
better at it (and I encourage them to continue for my
entertainment's sake) , instead I'll just say there's another
major difference between STALKER and Bioshock.
I hated STALKER, and still today, think it uber-sucks. I'm
glad I pirated for the simple reason I would have HATED to pay
for it.
Bioshock, on the other hand, is a little gem. I'm just only
at the beginning, but even the wallet of devil-pirate-me doesn't
mind too much as long as the games are of this quality.
For, you see, even if it was somehow unpiratable ,
I could have found another way to play STALKER for
free : rent, play at a friend, or something else. It would have
make me reach the same conclusion : I'm not putting money in that.
2KGames can go on putting shitty copy protections as much as they want,
as long as they produce games of this quality. That's something
someone who buys games taking only into account their copy protection
system and not their quality will never understand, I guess.
Oh, yes, incidentally : it's 2KGames. Before starting to hate a company,
make sure you know which one.

I'd prefer he used dull ones, dipped in a puddle of AIDS.

Ok, I know replying to "pc games" just spurs it on, but really....
STALKER was released when? March 2007? The prequel is scheduled Q1
2008? Bioshock is Aug 2007.
How are they competitors? Yes, they are same genre, but given the
dearth of good titles and the date-spread of releases, FPS players
should purchase solely on interest, not choose which one of the two.
There is *no* competition that I see.

Seems that way to anyone with common sense... Too bad you can't surgically
implant that in people that really need a dose of it.
