How much lower can this group go?
Not only you see PIRATES publicly admitting PIRATING PC Games, you see
them bragging about it, and now they have the nerve to take a photo of
their illegal copy! taking photos of their crimes!
Truly Unbelievable!
Now will anyone tell me again PIRACY is not destroying PC Games...

Contrary to popular myth, it's NOT piracy that's destroying PC games
it's the lack of originality from multiple genres. There are only so
many ways to make the next popular MMORPG 'Flavor of the Month' before
the taste of the entire MMORPG scene is bland, stale, and without hope
on the horizon.
Guild Wars broke the common 'pay to play' scam of MMORPGs. I truly
believe this sort of subscription model is BADLY broken and only
encourages computer gaming addiction. Most people have heard of
Everquest being referred to as Evercrack. I for one would rather TAKE MY
TIME to enjoy the experience rather than rush thru game titles. But
people like myself are getting rarer each day.
Society has done well in raising Twitch Tykes with all sorts of computer
skills and little socialization ability. Of course the current mentality
that if you're not updating yourself in terms of skills with more and
more training that turns people into disposable commodities does not
help either.
P.S. - In the future, could you PLEASE refrain from posting to multiple
newsgroups? It makes you look like a troll or spammer, and I'd prefer to
not make that assessment based off a poor first impression.

You are out of luck. He/she is indeed a troll or a bot since he/she
consistently displays limited inteillectual depth in his/her postings
and contributes to a very limited set of discussion subjects, many of
whioch outside the scope of the particular usenet group to which
he/she is posting.

I don't think pirates taking photos of their work is anything new. And I
think you know this.
I doubt very much if the key that came with your bought CD was banned. I
think it's more likely that you are making all this up in order to have
something MORE to say about pirating. Your name looks familiar, as one who
rants and rants and rants about things.
I'm taking it that your not a STEAM enthusiast.

I agree about PC Gamer, but I didn't think he said his key was banned.
I thought the pirate did.

SHUT UP PC Games, like I explained in the other post I have been
fooled. I am a VICTIM. How many time will I have to explain that. The
guy sold me a backup cd of Quake 4 but told me the cd-key he was going
to provide me was a legal one. I trusted the guy and I shouln'd. You
know what Pc Games we should be allies on this battle and not nemesis.
I always pay for my games so never ever call me a PIRATES again.

Seriously pc games, if you're going to make up a fake issue to get worked up
about, get someone else to write the other party's emails for you. As it
stands, both you and your alter ego "danger" have the same bizarre writing

Yes, I read that incorrectly, as is sometimes my habit. I've seen posts by
this guy before, who continually rails about piracy and the death of PC
gaming.
Back to the key thing, it was a bit odd that he'd have an "image" of a game
on his hard drive. He doesn't say where it comes from, though presumably he
put the image there, since it was his hard drive.
Anything I read by PC Gamer I suspect as being some sort of hose job. All
his ranting about piracy and the death of PC gaming has something behind it,
which I suspect is not so legitimate.
But as I've said many times before, I think piracy helps the gaming industry
more than it hurts it.

What? After years of us asking pc games has finally posted a photo of
one of his games and it's a pirated game? That would be priceless...

I really can't agree with that. With thinking like that, you should
love Steam.
If I sell an old radio of mine, the company that made it doesn't get any
money. They got their money when I purchased it. It's mine then. So,
it's ok for me to sell it then.

| Seriously pc games, if you're going to make up a fake issue to get worked
up
| about, get someone else to write the other party's emails for you. As it
| stands, both you and your alter ego "danger" have the same bizarre writing
| style
|
It IS rather like being a voyeur inside the head of a complete
schizophrenic, and listening to the voices argue... Good call
