I am trying to install an HP LP 3065 30" monitor to a Dell Inspiron
laptop using the nVidia Quadro FX 3600M chipset. However, when I try
to set the resoution to the max (2560x1600) the video pans on the
screen at 1280x1024 rather than displaying at full resolution. I am
using a Dual-Link DVI-I cable. I have the latest drivers from Dell and
HP installed for the chip and the monitor.
Any ideas?

It's possible your laptop doesn't have a dual-link DVI port, which means the
resolution you're actually seeing is 1280x800, the only other resolution the
LP3065 actually supports natively (everything else is scaled by the graphics
card).
