VGA Y Spitter connect pc and tv same time. Pc Lcd display is now crappy and dim. Cheap splitter?
I bought a cheap y splitter to go from pc to both l screen and hdtv at
the same time. That way I can watch tv shows from pc on the big
screen. The problem is that when both screens are connected, I
loose half the brightness on my pc screen. Also, the text is a bit
more grainy. If this normal with a splitter? Would getting a
better quality y splitter fix this problem, or is that normal thing to
expect from a splitter? Also, is there an alternate affordable
solution to connect pc to tv and screen. thanks

A passive splitter is never going to work, period. In atcbhing the
input impedance of the load equipment it will necessarily reduce the
signal voltage (amplitude).
Get a decent powered splitter if you intend this to work, or see if
you can locate an suitabel A/B switching system that allows you to
select ONE device at a time.
