Hi! > http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290000486618 Hmm...a valuable collectable...starting at roughly $0.89 USD. I'm not sure we're there with the 8590/9590 just yet. The Model 50 I just set up in the gutted remains of my kitchen is there...if some of the auctions I've seen are any indication. Just cut and paste 'em. I did add the PS/2 though. bob Hi! As David Beem would say, "Yoink!" Shipping seems a bit steep, but I'm very interested in documenting the fax board, if it turns out to be something special. (And I do need a Bermuda equipped 77 as the one from Canada got a bit "jarred" in shipment.) William Hello all (or anyone who's paying attention)... Well, that got here *quickly*. It's not nearly as dirty as the pictures in the auction suggested. The floppy drive acted rather sluggish at first (perhaps it was never used?) but loosened up as I worked with it. Peter has the ADF (7055) for the Kofax card, but his page refers to it as a KF9100/9200 Document Processor. A quick check of the ADF I have against Peter's collection doesn't show any obvious differences...mine says KF-7300 and that's it so far. The computer boots into OS/2 2.1 and displays an OS/2 desktop by way of an Image Adapter/A. (This is the first Image Adapter I've ever seen without any extra VRAM installed.) There's a scanning program installed, along with drivers for the 16/4 TR card in the machine and a setup that would seem to put all scanned data on some kind of server. Look for an outline soon. I still wake up screaming over the wave of foam peanuts.... Hi! > Reply based system. And a good little performer at that...makes for a nice Win95 box with which to word process, spreadsheet, etc... It uses what is more or less a 55SX case, the IBM 486SLC2-50 CPU (16MB of RAM maximum, this is a 16/24 bit planar) and has a space in the bottom (if the mounting hardware existed) to put a CD-ROM. The video is Cirrus Logic with 1MB VRAM. Works nicely at 800x600x64K color with a 72Hz refresh rate. This is also one of the few PS/2s to use IDE. Downside? It also uses a DS1387 to keep the time, date and CMOS running. > I still wake up screaming over the wave of foam peanuts....
