This will be the very fastest 8550-031. A real hot 466 MHz Pentium CPU,
not a lame-duck hot-rodded T4 in a 9595A
Why W98? This one seems the perfect Datacenter Server and needs
something better like W2k3 Terminal server (running from floppy A:).
But the price still seems quite fair :-)

I was very interested in this until I discovered that it does not work
for 90s, 95s, & 85s.
Does anyone have a spare bezel for this drive that would fit a 56/57?
FRU# is either 92F0146 or 92F0133.
Thanks.

Hi Fred,
I have an electronic eject drive that is for a Model 95/85 and the
appropriate rails and bezel. I may also have a bezel for a Model
56/57/76/77, let me check.... Nope, sorry. Just the Model 95/85 variant and
bits. Make me an offer, if you're interested.

A standard hard disk doesn't fit into this exactly. (I recently put a
Seagate Barracuda ST12550N into a 65SX.)
I was able to get the Seagate drive installed in a fairly secure way,
but if your drive doesn't fit well enough to be secure, you might have
to drill a set of screw holes.

EBay has a category Vintage computers > IBM.
http://computers.ebay.com/_W0QQcatZ58058QQexpandZ1
If you browse that category, you'll have a list of about 200 auctions,
some interesting. They're easy to skim. This auction appears on that

2.5" drives for server instead of 3.5"?Is it a good idea to use 2.5" drives in a server that's up 24x7?
One part of me says "less power, less heat, that's good for them and
the server and they are quieter too" and another part of me thinks
that notebook drives fail more often. Then again, they get carted
around all over the place, so their life in a notebook is kind of
rough compared to sitting a metal box in a corner their entire life.
Opinions? Reliability is my main goal. If 3.5's are more reliable, I
will go that way. POinters to any "life span" test sites appreciated.

I use the Array in a while loop which does work when the Array looks
