You might get more if you offered it here first, but that's just my opinion.

Revised pricing and ship-to availability after a person in Germany (no
not Peter unfortunately, don't know this person) asked me if I would
ship out of US. I don't normally like to ship out of country but this
is getting harder to find so I extended it and after seeing what I
paid for it and the questions to the seller in just 6 hrs posted I
decided to raise it slightly more to cover my fees a little better.

WOW, this is a new experience for me to have 9 watchers listed on an
item - sure there have been more people than that watching items
manually before they put the item tracking feature in but since it's
been put on the most I've seen is 5 on one item. I didn't think there
was this much interest in a simple cable I've had set aside for a
couple years.

Hi Russ,
> My listing - shameless plug...
     That plug is shameless? ;-)

     Specifically for the P70 & P75.
http://www.gilanet.com/ohlandl/8573/8573.html#ESD_Port. Link to the
low-cost source is dead, so they are probly drying up.

Ouch! Shaping to the U.K. would be $26.00!!! Surely a GPM package would
work? Just my 10$ (inflation you know).

Added GPM - see if it's any better for UK addresses... I think this is
a flat rate envelope though isn't it? If so I guess I could flatten
out the carton and put the cable against it flat which would work out
just as well.

Sadly, all the "user-friendly" back-ends are horribly inaccurate and/or
misleading. Here are the official rates for all applicable services for a
weight of 4lbs (the Global Priority Mail Limit) to the U.K. Obviously, size
considerations, insurance etc. may also come into play, but you'll get the
idea:

Global Express Guaranteed Document Service 2 - 3 Days $60.00
Global Express Guaranteed Non-Document Service 2 - 3 Days [Calculate]
    Global Express MailT (EMS) 3 - 5 Days $35.75
    Global Priority Mail - Flat-rate Envelope (Large) 4 - 6 Days $9.00
    Global Priority Mail - Flat-rate Envelope (Small) 4 - 6 Days $5.00
    Global Priority Mail - Variable Weight (Single) 4 - 6 Days $26.00
    Airmail Letter Post 4 - 7 Days $23.10
    Airmail Parcel Post 4 - 10 Days $28.00
    Economy (Surface) Letter Post 4 - 6 Weeks $11.10
    Economy (Surface) Parcel Post 4 - 6 Weeks $23.00

Obviously, the Flat-Rate Envelopes are the cheapest and pretty quick, and
not too restrictive. I've never had a package disappear "in transit".
Probably the Large envelope is best for a boxed item. The "Calculator" link
gave $23.00 for GPM (only a $3.00 saving?), which is silly. Even boxed and
with extra wrapping there's no way that's going to exceed a couple of
pounds. Anyway, I've BIN-ned it, so what else do you have that I might need?

You should have an invoice reflecting the GPM envelope that I manually
inserted as standard interneational flat rate in your mailbox

IBM PS/2 (Type 8535, 8540)/IBM ValuePoint
Applicable to: World-Wide Symptom: The 8535, 8540 or 6384 diskette drive fails to read, write or format. The failures may be intermittent or solid. The diskette drive diagnostics run without error. Problem Isolation Aids: This tip applies to IBM Non-Micro channel systems with EMM386 and a Busmaster adapter installed. This tip does not apply to ValuePoint 6382/S or 6384/D with flash EEPROM level 51A (L6ET51AUS) or higher. Either of the following methods may be utilised to determine if there is a compatibility problem with EMM386* memory manager and the Busmaster option adapter: 1. Removed EMM386 or 2. Remove the Busmaster option adapter. If in doubt as to which adapter is a Busmaster. Remove all option adapters. If the diskette drive failures continue after removing EMM386 or removing the option adapters, this tip does not apply. Note: Other memory manager software which operates similar to EMM386 may also require the Zero_DMA.SYS driver. Fix: If the diskette drive functions correctly after removing any Busmaster adapters or removing EMM386, the customer should install device driver ZERO_DMA.SYS. The device driver should be copied to the root directory, and the following statement should be added as the first line in the CONFIG.SYS file: DEVICE=ZERO_DMA.SYS ftp://ftp.pc.ibm.com/pub/pccbbs/valuepnt/zero_dma.zip http://ps-2.kev009.com:8081/pcpartnerinfo/ctstips/876e.htm ...

IBM RS/6000 MCA SCSI Adapter vs. IBM PS/2 MCA SCSI Adapter
Hello, I found in my MCA repository a (seems to be) functionnal RS/6000 32bit SCSI Adapter. In my '80, I have a (what seems to be, again) original PS/2 SCSI Adapter, w/o cache. I found also a w/cache, but is faulty. May I get better performance, any improvement of any kind trying this RS/6000 Adapter, or is it not going to run at all...or will it be worse ? I have a 0661 type HDD, 320 MB in the SCSI Chain. Thanks ! Hum, as I see after some searches, it is RS/6000-only adapter, no ADF, not useable in a PS/2...Can someone confirm this ?
