IBM PS/2 Technical Reference Manuals (Hardware and BIOS) for sale

Hello,

I'm guessing that the reference manuals for the PS/2 series might be
sought after by people in this newsgroup. Here's a chance to get them.
I'm selling my set of 4 manuals at eBay:

Sorry if this posting isn't appropriate here.

Thanks,

You will be punished. Severely. However, until then, do the booklets
cover the 9595 models, or are they for the 486 XP486 (8590/8595)?

S84F-9807-00 is the number for the bare drawer with the initial set of
machine-specific pages AFAIK.
It covers the original PS/2 line 85xx 50/60, 55/65, 70/80 and 90/95 with T1 and
T2 platforms. And that is included in the "System Specific" PDFs on my page.

These pages were delivered separately with other P/Ns and had been updated
quite erratically (e.g. for the Mod. 50 when the 50Z came out), where the
updates also had own P/Ns. It is almost impossible to figure out which numbers
are for what. Back in the early 90s I'd scanned the literature directory on a
regular basis and tried to get anything PS/2 specific. Most of that stuff was
HMM / HMR, Quick Specs, User Guides and Diagnostic procedures. Hardware
Reference stuff was way harder to get. I've got some Hardware Maintenance
References (with instructions on how to open the boxes, remove / install parts,
some dire tech-specs and maintenance trees.) Mainly uninteresting stuff.

It would be interesting to get *any* of the 95xx System Specific parts and
those for the P70 / P75 and 8556 / 8557 ... plus the ISA-boxes to get
everything complete.

Semi-OT: Pre-PS/2 IBM Technical References
I've spent some time looking for IBM's Personal Computer AT Technical Reference. I want it mostly for the BIOS listings and to have a good reference of what exactly was or wasn't in the AT. The reason behind this is that I'm trying to fix some compatibility issues (primarily BIOS related) in a virtual machine type software. So far I found out that there were three major revisions of the AT, two 6MHz and one 8MHz. I understand that they had BIOSes dated 01/10/84, 06/10/85, and 11/15/85, respectively. I know that there was a Tech Ref from April '84 for the original AT and I surmise that there was an updated version for the later 6MHz model because I know there's a listing of the 06/10/85 BIOS. Was there an updated Tech Ref for the 8MHz AT (I'm guessing there was)? If so, what publication number(s) did it have? Did it contain the BIOS listings? Even better, would anyone have this Tech Ref for sale? A PDF would do as well, but I'm guessing if there was a PDF I'd have found it by now. How about ROM images for the AT? If push comes to shove, I can disassemble the ROM and figure out what it's doing. But my oldest IBM is a PS/2 Model 80 and that's a little too far from the AT for my purposes. Right now I'm interested in floppy support and only the 11/15/85 BIOS included 1.44MB 3.5" drive support, which is why the dates and revisions are important for me. I've been t...

IBM PS/2 manual
I just recycled the packaging for a Dual Async Adapter/A. Among other things, it contained the User's Guide. Fourteen pages of boilerplate, warranty, safety, support, copyright, FCC notice, blank pages labeled "Notes" etc. No information at all about actually using the adapter. It contains: ------------------------- Installation This option can only be installed in a full length PS/2 Micro Channel adapter slot (editor's note: no full stop.)
