Let me help you out on this one... Market Cap is just a valuation of
all the outstanding stock shares. It has nothing to do with how
successful the company is, and it meaningless except to investors who
trade shares like a commodity. A very high market cap without the
profits to match is very much like the housing boom, inflated value
based on speculation.

A company's stock price is theoretically the net present value of all
expected future earnings. A company that is still growing should be
worth more than a company that isn't. But Apple is very profitable
with $50 billion in cash and cash equivalents.
