General printing error -9589

  • Follow

"Unexpected Printing error -9589" was encountered when using Palm
Desktop software to print out a calendar. My first reaction was to
blame Palm. But i was trying Now Up-To-Date as a possible alternative
for Palm and got exactely the same error message when trying to print
out a calendar sheet. What is the meaning of this error and how can it
be eliminated? I do not get the error when printing out iCal sheets,
but the iCal print is about 1/2" too long on both ends. There is no
obvious way to reduce the iCal print size.

Help would be appreciated.

At some point are you going to tell us which printer you're using?
Whatever it is, have you updated to the latest driver?

Hm, this might be related to an error in some of the downloadble OS X=20
10.4.7 versions. There seems to be 2 different versions around, but if=20
you've downloaded the 10.4.7 Combo Update there shouldn't be problems.

This message we got in another list I'm on:
