ICal 1.5.5 autostart

  • Follow

Forgive me, I am the new owner of a Macintosh iBook. Is there a way to
have Ical 1.5.5 auto start when I turn on my ibook. Is there a way to
make it start minimized?

Thank you!

Posting pertinant information such as what operating system your using
comes in handy at times like these. Assuming for a moment your using
10.3 (you got a new iBook rather than a used one) go to System
Preferences/Accounts/Startup Items and add iCal. Check the Hide
checkbox to have it launch in the background.

System Preferences

Accounts (click on your account)

Startup Items

Click the + then add iCal (or drag the iCal icon to the window).

Check the "Hide" box.

I made that assumption as the OP referenced iCal 1.5.5 in the thread
title.
