Having uncertain results in exporting a slideshow in iPhoto to QT
movie. Made one movie that played music and showed the slides but
not the music or the "snapshot" theme I just set up in iPhoto! It
just decided to do its own thing in the QT movie, different music
and different plainer theme!
I often get a OSStatus error, the operation could not be
completed -9459 when trying to export a slide show I like, either
as a slide show or as a movie. Have not been able to find what
trouble this means.
I have about 300 pics and I can make them any size. They started
very large but I have a test folder where each is only about 20K!
In case there are memory problems. Working on a year old MB with
4G of RAM, running SL and all software is up to date.

I was about to ask a totally different question about a similar error msg.
Why would iPhoto refuse to export one photo but be perfectly willing to
export the ones on either side of it?
OK, it's an older iPhoto, but this is pretty basic.

In trying to pin down my own iPhoto export problems I found that
Fireworks could not open some of the jpgs. Photoshop could! Once
'saved as' in PS, its algorithms being first class, FW could. So
that is something I am doing right now: finding out which of
several hundred files have some sort of problem with them that
are show stopper in some programs.
I know it is not anything to do with file names (at least if the
test of 'change the name in Finder and then try to open' is a
valid one).
In my case I will batch process the hundreds in FW and weed out
the ones that cannot be opened by consulting
FireworksBatchLog.txt, batch these in PS and see if Bob might
agree to be my uncle.
I have come across this phenomenon a lot in the past, jpgs can be
prepared in all sorts of software. Mine were scans prepared on
anything but Mac gear or software.
