Iweb newsgroup?
Hi folks,
What's the best newsgroup to post questions about iWeb? I have
issues/questions about upgrading/revising my blog. Even though it's much
easier to publish a blog with iWeb than with Blogger.com (at least it is for
me), I want to have my blog be more accessible to the public, and I'd like
to enhance my blog so it is. Naturally, I know that I have to have content
on it that folks will want to read. That said, I'd like to know how folks
who are using iWeb for their blogs are getting and maintaining online
visibility for them.
Thanks,
Jean in VA

While avoid them when I can, sometimes web forums are the only good place.
For iWeb have you tried Apple's own forums?

I would echo the suggestion to ask in Apple's own forum if you are
having problems using iWeb.
However, iWeb appears aimed at an audience who will be primarily
directing family, friends and people they know to the web site.
The pages iWeb produced are bloated and often slow loading, and seem to
totally lack semantic markup relating to the content. Sometimes the
pages even leave out text in favour of graphics, and only provide an
"alt" tag to indicate to search engine robots what the content means. As
a result, iWeb typically show up very poorly (or not at all) on search
engines. I could not recommend them for public access pages, despite the
ease of use and attractive appearance.
I would suggest seeking some web page generation tool that at least
provides meaningful heading tags rather than putting everything in divs
like iWeb.
