What app will keep my typing in a file that I can access if I am timed
out. This happens to me when using web forms and when typing iTunes
comments. I do "Select All" then "Copy" as I go but sometimes that
last 150 words dissappear when I click the "Submit Button". Thanks
for your suggestions, Earl Williams, Surrey, British Columbia PS. I
have Copy/Paste is it tracking paragraphs or just listing vocab?

"Harry?" Ron's voice was a mere whisper. "Do you smell something ... burning?"

Converting numeric data type to text data type Hi,
I would like to convert a dollar amount ($1,500) to represent Fifteen
hundred dollars and 00/100 cents only for SQL reporting purposes. Is
this possible and can I incorporate the statement into an existing
left outer join query.
Thanks in advance,

Switich Input field from TYPE=TEXT to TYPE=PASSWORD Hi everyone,
I have a page with a login box. Because of lack of space, instead of
labels I put the descriptive text in the input fields (so username input
says 'username', and password input says 'password').
The password field however, once it does have the focus, it should mask
its input. Now what I've done, and works in firefox, is
onfocus="this.type='password'; this.value='';". (Its a bit more complex
than that, but this is essentially it). Unfortunatly IE complains.
Is there any way to perform this trick in IE without showing and hidin...
Joining Text Type with Memo Type = Funny Characters Hi,

the resulting entry has funny chinese characters!
Has anyone else encountered this before?
Is there a cure??
Funny characters and Chinese characters are completely different
I have no idea what "Memo Type" is, but did you check the keyboard
language property on the control?

click away while leaving the field empty, then it plugs the word "

Checking a form input tag type works only for type text... not others... why?
I have a form called "ourTestForm".
Its a test form - nothing special - it contains five input tags - they
are named one, two, three, four and five.
The input tags are of type text, text, radio, checkbox and select.
When I run the following code, it correctly reports "text" (for input
tag named "one") but it reports (alerts) input tag four as being
"undefined". The same happens for any input tag that is not of type "text".
How come? How can I fix it?
I get type mismatch errors sometimes. Why does Access think it knows what data type a text box control is? Runtime error 13 - type mismatch.
I get the above error when I create a text box
control on a form named [UserID] and I run
the following code in a sub on that same form...
If DLookup("[UserID]", "tblUsers", "[UserID]=Forms!Form10!UserID")
tblUsers has a 6-char text field in it named [UserID]. What can Access
be thinking to tell me the data in the textbox and the data in the
table field cannot be compared because of incompatible data types?
This has always bugged me about Access. I believe it should be
possible to compare the string in Forms!Form10!UserID ...

Changing table cell between plain text and INPUT TYPE=TEXT control I'd like to setup a table cell such that the contents displays as plain

INPUT TYPE=TEXT control, so I can edit the content.

this wouldn't work? I anticipate placing the plain text and the input

where the mouse pointer is.
