Mac os X 10.3.9 G4 USB 1.1 firmware upgrade --> USB 2.0

Hi i have a imac G4 and i was wondering if there is a firmware upgrade
or something for USB 1.1 ports to be put so they can be USB 2.0?
Would i be able to buy a firewire to USB 2.0 converter? if so where, i
live in New Zealand, Hastings.

and can i upgrade my GeForce4 MX graphics card VRAM up from 32MB?

And last of all how much would it cost ruffly  to buy a 512 SDRAM for
my mac, (would i be able to put DDR ram in?)

No, but if you buy an OS X compatible USB 2.0 card that will work.  I
put a Micro Innovations USB 2.0 card in my Dual G5 (533) and it worked
just fine.  The cards are pretty cheap ~ $20US.

He has an iMac.  No slots.

No luck on adding USB 2 or more VRAM.

There is no such firmware upgrade. Your best option is to buy a PCI card 
with USB 2.0 ports. Any decent Mac vendor will sell you such a card for 
a few dollars; they're not expensive.

Oops. I just noticed you are asking about an iMac. No USB 2 for you. 
Period. Your best bet is to simply buy components that use firewire if 
you need fast data transfer capability.

No. USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 use different USB controller chips.
