OT?: Zip Drive Floppies Won't Work

  • Follow

bought 2 new 100mb floppies for Macs. Inserted them and got the
cannot recognize them error message. tried to initialize them and it
kicked them out with an initialization failed error.

managed to reformat PC formatted floppies and they work fine so the
drive is ok. Any way to figure out why it won't take Mac formatted
disks?

It seemed like an awfully simple purchase at the time. Can't figure
out why they won't work.

Are they Fujis? Had a couple of those arrive DOA. Couldn't do anything
with them.

Yes, they are Fuji as a matter of fact. Got them at Compuware. It was
the only brand they had. Never again. What did you buy that did
work?
