Panther Mail 1.3.2 questions

I have two questions (using 10/3/2 on G4)
1. When new mail comes and I want to start reading all messages from
the top of the list, is there a setting so that when I delete a message,
the next in line automatically opens instead of the mailbox window being
default and I need to click on the next message to read it.

2. Importing mailboxes from NS 7.1
Only two of my 5 mailboxes imported correctly. I went back on NS,
deleted everything that imported, then took all messages from one of the
mailboxes that didn't import, moved them to one that did and tried again
to import. What I got was the original messages that did import, not the
  ones I moved.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Judy

What you want is exactly what happens here. Try moving
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist to the trash, restart mail
and see if it works.

Did you compact your folders after you deleted the messages? Are you
certain that you pointed mail to the correct Netscape mbox files?
