PDF pages opened in Illustrator are rotated 90 degrees?
I have a multi-page PDF document (basically a slide show) in which each
page is in portrait format 10 X 7 inches.
When I open the document using the Open as PDF command in Illustrator
9.0 (which really means opening only one page), the page appears in
Illustrator rotated 90 CW.
Why?
[My underlying objective continues to be to convert each of the
document's pages into a separate EPS file -- in a batch fashion if
possible!! -- with Acrobat 6.0, Illustrator 9.0, Photoshop Elements, and
GraphicConverter being the tools available to me on a Mac running OS 9.]

god its been 10 years since I used Illustrator.... check your page layout
settings,...
I don't know much about Illustrator's capability inre: export to EPS.
If you have a type/creator utility, you MIGHT (no guarntees, as I never
dealt specifically with EPS files) be able to manually tweak the image to
suit (simply check the t/c code of an EPS by dragging a native file onto the
t/c icon; do the same now with the image you want to convert. Change the t/c
of the second to match the one on the first (EPS)).
There are many t/c utilities out there; just set your Sherlock engine to
find them, or check download.com
and just about any shareware site outhtere dealing in macware.
