Scanner Software trouble
I'm scanning on a CanoScan 9950F using Photoshop 7 and Scangear CS.
Much of what I'm scanning is 35mm film strips, but there are quite a few
126 slides. This software doesn't deal well with such slides. In order
to scan the slides, it needs an adjustment on EACH "crop" to get it to
the right size and position.
I'm looking for either a way to get Scangear CS to understand 126 slides
or other software which will work in its place to do the same thing.
Does anyone have recommendations?

Can you at least make it scan the whole picture area of every slide without
cropping? I.E. set it to scan the max area, so that you get the whole
picture with a margin on all sides?
If so, I'd just scan them all that way and then crop them using Graphic
Converter's "trim" command in a batch.

Have you tried VueScan? The demo adds a watermark to all scans, but you'd
be able to see how it does on your slides. <http://www.hamrick.com/>

I'll give those ideas a try. Should be simpler. Thanks.
