Thoth 1.7.2 - Can anyone reproduce this crash?

  • Follow

OS X 10.3.8 (up to date) on a 17" Powerbook 1.33GHz with 1 GB RAM,
Thoth 1.7.2

Double-click a newsgroup in a group window and before it opens hit
CMD-period on your keyboard.

Since upgrading to 10.3.8, Thoth will crash within three seconds.

If anyone can reproduce this, please let me know.

And please, no recommendations for other newsreaders, flames on Brian
Clark, messages telling me how I really need to abandon Thoth for
-------, etc, etc. I've read all the threads and already have my Thoth
exit strategy planned. For now, though, it meets my needs and I plan to
stay with it until it breaks fatally.

Ta.

FWIW, I can't duplicate the problem. I'm running 10.3.8 on an 800MHz
Flat-Panel iMac G4 with 768MB of RAM. I tried using both keyboard and
mouse to open the newsgroup window, and saw no ill effects with the
command-period.

I can't reproduce it. I am using 10.3.8 on a 12" Powerbook 1.33 with
768 MB RAM.

Thanks Charles and Garner.

It's likely something local to my setup, then.
