Tiger Mail junk mail filtering performance

With Tiger, I just moved from Entrourage to Mail. One thing I am
disappointed in is junk mail filtering. Entourage seemed to catch about
95% of the junk mail I received, while Mail seems to catch no more than
50% of it. This seems remarkably poor performance.

Are other's seeing similar results? Suggestions?

Errmm...isn't it still in training mode? It's doing at least 90% here
and after some training it'll likely get most things with the possible
exception of those ever-morphing Viagra ads! :)

If you've just converted, then Mail is still learning what you consider
to be junk. It's using generic filtering rules that may or may not
match your incoming spam flow. But it'll learn quickly-- I get a ton of
spam, and find Mail to be extremely accurate in managing it.

Give it time. You have to be diligent about flagging spam in the beginning.

I can't remember the last time Mail allowed a single spam through on my
Mac. But I started training it a long time ago.
