Why doesn't iTunes update show up in Software Update?
I'm sure that's a stupid question but I was wondering...

It didn't show up for me either. I thought it was because of needing the
newest Quicktime but I guess others will be able to dispute that.
I think we just were on to early. Dunno.

I think if you moved iTunes app out of the application folder then the
software update thingy won't be able to find it. Have you moved it or
renamed it or made another folder for iTunes? Just a guess otherwise I
don't know.
Software update worked fine for me.

Although I hadn't moved iTunes from its default install location, it
didn't show up for me--just QT 6.5. I downloaded iTunes from the web site
and installed it *before* I installed QT 6.5, so QT must not have been the
hold-up.

I upgraded from 10.2.6 yesterday (software update had something new to
download after several successful upgrade installs.) At the end, I didn't
see the iTunes update either. But, I immediately went to my iDisk and there
it was. So far, it is playing great.
