Will iTunes burn a CD using built-in EQ settings?

  • Follow

If after setting EQ, space between tracks and fading
in iTunes 2, is there a way to get it to burn an audio
(.aif) CD with the tracks EQ'd, spaced and faded the
same as they were in the playlist?

Thanks,

Scratch the part about track spacing - that has always
worked OK. Still wondering if there's a way to get it to
burn to audio CD with EQ settings and cross-fades in tact.

No. It won't edit the audio. You want to look at something like Jam if
you're very particular about the CDs you're burning. Also, the track
spacing only works if you don't expect to be able to burn with no gap at
all between tracks, something you can also do with Jam.

EQ settings are another story, you would have to use a sound editor to
apply EQ and re-save the file first. I've not seen any burning program
willing to do that "on the fly" (though I suppose there's no reason it
couldn't be done).
