cinema displays on PC hardware
Hi there,
I have an x86 PC running Linux, and I'm considering purchasing an
Apple Cinema display with an ADA to DVI adapter. Has anyone tried
connecting one to a PC? Since its DVI, I see no reason why it
shouldn't work with my PC's DVI video card. Hopefully XFree86
supports 1680x1050 resolution. It would be encouraging to hear that
someone else has tried this and met with success though. Anyone?
Thanks,
Brent

My local CompUSA store has one setup so you can see it as soon as you walk
in the door. Usually allot of people standing around it. There system is
running XP though.

not sure about the PC connection but my cinema display offers a max
resolution of 1920x1200 on a G4 tower. 1680x1050 is not offered.
I generally use 1344x840 for easier reading.
