iTunes: is there a way to list songs in my library not on iPod? Hi all,
I was wondering if there is a way to see what songs in my iTunes
library are NOT on my iPod? Then I could view this list, see what
songs I like, and move those onto my iPod.
Thanks for your help.

Now Contact, Quick Contact, Unsanity, and Snow Leopard? Now Contact continues to work fine (for me, anyway) under Snow Leopard,
except that the QuickContact menulet which was the primary attraction
for using Now Contact no longer appears in the menu bar (it was still
there in Leopard.) Messing with preferences and deleting plist files
doesn't bring it back.
Digging around on various user groups says this is in some way connected
to something called Unsanity MEE, which Now Contact uses to activate
QuickContact, but which doesn't function in Snow Leopard -- but may be
brought back to life by Unsanity.
The Unsanity web pages don'...
old ipod/new ipod (Apple isn't fair) I feel that apple is very wrong....
i spent close to $500 bucks on a 20 gig ipod for them to come out with a new
model about a month later. and on top of that they are going to forget all
the people who bought an ipod before the new version and offer software
upgrades to the new model,but nothing to better the older model.
Apple needs to learn to appreciate it's very loyal users ( the people who
keep them in business).

How to copy only non-repeated lists elements to a single list using functors Hi:
I have a map<string, list<string> > and I need to copy the sublists
items to a single list, filtering the repeated ones. I think it can be
done using stl functors and adaptors, but I don't know how. Here's the
example code using loops:
typedef pair<string,list<string> > map_string_list_pair;
typedef map<string,list<string> > map_string_list;
pair<map_string_list::iterator, bool> i;
i = m.insert(map_string_list_pair("list 1", list<string>()));

My 80GB Ipod
I have an 80 IPod. Last week I had all my music and my movies on it.
I had to reinstall Vista, and after that, several of my movies will
not copy to the IPod. I get that wonderful message "Cannot play on
I have tried IMtoo, Quicktime Pro, Videora......nothing works.
Here are some of my settings:
Movie FPS: 30
Data: 379.66 kbs
Now, I've used ImToo to size this down to 324x240, but it does not
seem to do that. These ARE .mp4. I just do not get it. Why did it
work before my reinstall of Vista? Additionally, I noticed in ImToo
returning a list I'd like to return two values from a function. I'm doing this:
// some code
return new Array(value_a,value_b);
Is there a cleaner way of doing that? I'm used to perl list assignments.

list length I've been fooling around with writing a tutorial (mainly to improve my
skills) and I've used an example from Art of Prolog for finding the length
of a list namely:
length(List,N) :- nonvar(List), length1(List,N).
length(List,N) :- var(List), nonvar(N), length2(List,N).
N is N1 + 1.
N > 0,
N1 is N - 1,
using the meta-language predicates var/1 and nonvar/1 we are able to
determine the length of a list is N given the list or generate a list of
length N given N...

Yahoo! contact? Not sure whether this is the right place to ask this, but if not, can
somebody point me in the right direction?
Yahoo! disabled my email address because they said I had an

to know if there is actually a person at Yahoo! I can contact, because I
can't seem to figure out their automated website help system.
Doing it my way now!

list as array Hello,
I like to be able to call a number based on multiple variables.
For example, when 3 variables are considered,
[1,1,1] => 1
[1,2,4] => 3
[2,3,1] => 2
[1,4,3] => 3
etc. So if I input 1,2,4, I like to obtain 3. If I were programming in
another language, I may use 3 dimentioanl array and store the output
numbers in appropriate locations of the array, or use hash or
something. In NetLogo, is there any way to do thing like this?
