Flashing a GeForce 6200 (PC->Mac)
Hello,
I have just bought on ebay a GeForce 6200 256 Mb, to put it on a
PowerMac G4 Quicksilver 800Mhz (2002) under Leopard.
I should receive the card this week and the vendor told me that these
information were written on the card :
M/N:SPAG44DH256U
P/N:geforce 62005(AGP) 256mb/64bits DDR2+DVI+HDTV+TV OUT
S/N MK06470461
SFAG44 REV:D1
So different questions :
- how to flash it ? do i have to put it on one of my pc to flash it ?
- where to download the ROM (and choose the good one, bacause I think
that there is different Rom for the 6200) ?
Any tips are welcome.
Regards
John

What makes you think you *need* to flash it?

And if that's the case for this one, wouldn't the manufacturer have that
information at their site?

Personally, I can't think of why one would buy a PC version GeForce 6200
when there are Mac versions of the card available...

I would think the best time to have figured this out would have been
*before* purchasing a PC version of the card, considering you could have
purchased the Mac version of the card and skipped this whole mess.

Okay, so you paid less for a card you can't actually use. I
understand...

I can't actually use it because I haven't flashed it yet, I will do it
this week-end, but I would like to do it in the right way..I'm confident
about the possibility to convert it to a Mac card..many people have
already done it..so why not me :-)
