1. It's an iOS 5 bug which affects any iOS 5 device.
2. There is a workaround you can use now to make the OS stop eating your
battery.

Strange, my iPhone 4's battery life has improved since I upgraded to
iOS5..
Doesn't it depend on the apps one has running? Some (like Skype, Mail,
SMS, etc) are always producing/responding to radio signals.
