=?ISO-8859-1?Q?Weird_alias_left_in_trash_-_can=B4t_empty?=
Hello - when I try to empty the trash (Leopard), Im left with a O byte
alias called "Ci". Dragging it to the trash from the trash (!)
empties it. Small, but irritiating. Ive fixed permissions and run
DiskWarrior but its still there. Can anyone help figure out whats
causing it/how to prevent it?Thanks

Select the alias - click on it once so it becomes highlighted, then
type Command I. If the Locked checkbox is checked, click on it to
unlock it. Then try emptying the trash. If it was not checked, try
holding down the option key and then emptying the trash.

Alternatively, choose Secure Empty Trash.

Leopard 10.5.3 will cure that problem - hopefully.

Thanks guys. Clicking on it makes it vanish, and secure empty doesnt
seem to make a difference. Ill hold out for 10.5.3 (unless zara is
being ironic :-) )

Try this:
1. Open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.
2. Enter this command:
rm -rf ~/.Trash/*

zara's intent is to belittle all Macs and Mac users. Ignore the troll.

You can try using the Terminal and the 'rm' command.
