HELP: MacOSX crashes when connecting to shared PC drive

Hi all,

I lend my G4 Powerbook to a colleague who's PC laptop got stolen (and was
secretly hoping to convert her to the Mac). However she is making extensive
use of the shared network drive (which is a PC drive) and when she connects
to the drive the Mac just freezes after a while. Or when she tries to open a
document which when opened from a PC displays the error "some additional
files could not be found" (but opens it fine anyway) it brings the whole
system down on the Mac. Help! This is getting embarrassing.

Powerbook G4 667, 512 MB RAM, MacOS X 10.2.6

Thanks

Markus
