"Amazing Marginal Manipulation
Automatically scales a printed margin so that it's not wider than the
paper it will be printed on. Microsoft Firefox also includes a
multi-page margin preview with live margins, resizing margins to avoid
margin clipping, and an option to print only selected margins. Never
have you seen a more robust margin technology in one small package."

Google cache also shows the same error. However try
http://www.msfirefox.net/ for an amusing bit of cover art and text. For
example:
The following bare minimums are essential for the optimum operation of
MS Firefox 2007
   	A Credit Card

A joke? You need to ask? Some more from the list of requirements (see stuff
in parentheses):

Microsoft(R) Mouse & Keyboard (Hyperlinks will NOT work without these)

Live(TM) Messenger (Required API to maintain dangerous CPU temperatures)

Microsoft(R) Office 2007 (Provides the ability to scroll webpages)

Quad Core Processor (For loading Hotmail.com)

1024 MB of RAM (Compensation for Frequent Memory Leaks)

And if that's not enough, check the feature list:

"delivers a dramatic boost in the download speeds of online pornography"

"protects the Windows Kernel by automatically recognizing all McAfee
   and Symantec programs as viruses"

"Microsoft's AKobe Phlash(TM) Plugin [...] (Lawsuit from Adobe pending)"

And barely visible on the picture of the box:

  "Finally bug-free"

"Get burnt with MS Firefox 2007"

  "May contain spyware"

And under Donations:

"The Microsoft(R) Corporation is an international non-profit organisation"

That the last time I don't save a gem like that. You never know how

The object is to get flights *from* the Middle East (more specifically,
from Iraq); flights with all our troops on them. That's the best way to
keep them from getting killed or maimed over there.

They've revamped the website and took out the priceless hyperlinks
that took you to more descriptions of the product. You snooze you

Yeah? Well, some of us think it's quite silly that others bitch and
moan about text in *signatures*. Signatures are very commonly personal
statements conveying personal views. If you read a signature with which
you disagree, feel free to what the level-headed people do - ignore it.
If, instead, you'd rather bitch and moan and try (and, in all
likelihood, fail) to get someone to change their personal signature, I
have two words for you: tough titties!

Well, she _did_ designate her post as OT and only made it in response to
someone who brought it up.

I see. The Bush supporters have repealed the First Amendment? If you
don't like what Michelle posts, then killfile her. It's pretty simple.
I've got a number of people killfiled whom I thin are idiots. Some of

I think Nettiquete is perhaps more relevent here than First
Amendment rights. Sure, Bible John has a First Amendment
right to post long rants about Godlessness in a technical
newsgroup but it is reasonable to object to such behaviour.

On the other hand, as long as a .sig obeys the McQuary limit and
is separated from the body of the post by the proper sigdashes
then it's content is irrelevent. Those who are easily offended
should perhaps try to find a newsreader that is capable of
suppressing the .sig; either that or do as Tim suggests and
use the killfile.

Indeed. Last time I checked, an individual bitching about off-topic
posts was not the same thing as government censorship. Those who cite
the first amendment on this might actually want to go read it.

And let's see... It is unacceptable to bitch about other people's posts
as being off-topic because that is somehow violating their rights to say
whetever they want. But it is ok to bitch about someone else's bitching?
Um. Sure. Well, all concerned have a right to say whatever they want,
including bitching about what others say. People are not legally
required to be consistent, logical... or generally worth listening to.

Exactly! To me, a properly delineated signature is equivalent to a
bumper sticker on a car. While driving, I may strongly disagree with
someone's opinion as express on the car's bumper, but all that's
relevant is how the person is driving. I'd rather be near an excellent
driver I disagree with than a bad driver whose opinions mirror mine.

Nice analogy, Mike.

That's fine; just don't read my sig or reply to it. If the anonymous
guy had not replied to my sig, there wouldn't have been a message for me
to reply to.

At least I had the courtesy to label the subject off topic, so those not
interested in it could skip it. That's what "[OT]" means, y'know.

That is the beauty of usenet, and if more folks used it instead of web
fora and other proprietary such things, it might have been improved even
more. With a decent usenet client and a little learning and effort, you
can do your own censorship, rather than letting someone you don't know
do it for you. Also threads are much easier to follow.

This is Priceless.

I came to the Group wondering why people were bringing up Joke sites
from months ago, and ended up reading a bunch of crap about
Signatures, the First Ammendment, and such.

Hang in there Sebastion. When you have a problem, this group is a
total life saver. There is no better group of highly intelligent and
knowledgeable group of people ready and willing to help their fellow

The thing I liked most about macosx.com was the idea that I could use
vnc when someone had a problem. It sounded perfect but it wasn't working
last time I looked. Excellent idea though.

The whole website was a disorganized disaster. So many things didn't
work and the layout was absurd. Plus a lot of the "helpers" hardly
read the question before typing out the first thing that came into
their heads. Hopefully its better now. I haven't used it in several
