Sergey Bulba's website has various bits of documentation and source code
for every tracker format out there:
http://bulba.untergrund.net/progr_e.htm
STDocs.rar is the one you want... but since untergrund.net has a nasty
habit of falling over on Sundays, I've mirrored it here:

Please consider finding a way to make the ZX81 play many of the files
already available in .AY files:

I've had a quick look at the ay spec and i just don't think it's going to be
possible to do on ZX81 (not easily) it looks like you need to be able to
emulate the full 64K memory space (or small parts of it) but on zeddy you
can't execute code above 32K boundary or 48K boundary of you have the M1not
mod, what if the player code sits above that? how to relocate potentially
non-relocateble code ?
i think for now i just get a player of sorts working and worry about the
technicallities later.

No apologies needed. Everything looks fine here. ^_^
If you have a ZX81 with the 16K ram pack, do you think you could make
it play digital samples using any of the available AY interfaces?

It's a possibility, but of course during playback there would be no display
on ZX81 unlike Tracker playerback sample playback requires near realtime
data output to the Ay. I'll look into it when i get bored with the trackers.

Thanks! Before you get bored with trackers, check some Sample Tracker
videos on YouTube. :)
