This is a ridiculous statement as most modern keyboards are based on the same technology as the Spectrum. It is rubbish, but it's also what you get from HP, Dell, and all the other PC manufacturers. If you want a proper keyboard you have to go to Unicomp.

And I really looked after it. That's why I've going with an IBM-M type keyboard this time. I'm fairly sure the original bread-bin C64s had more solid keyboards than the later models. It's all about cost cutting.
