Is there any way to read files on a SunPCi disk image from solaris
without having to network the PCi card machine to the SPARC and using
something like Samba?

No.

The SunPCi can mount Solaris host directories as Windows drives, but
not the other way around.=20
I usually keep files I want to use both here in there in a host =
directory
mounted as H: on the PCi.

I assume you mean SunPCi can mount Solaris host directories without
using the network. I ran into a problem trying to do this. It looks
like it should work, but this is what happened:

From the SunPCi Windows XP Windows Explorer:
  Tools-> Map NetworkDrive
  Drive Z:
  Folder: -------> Chose Browse... button
    Entire Network-> Sun File systems[This looks like it should be it]

...... Nothing underneath Sun File Systems

Is this the right direction, or did I totally miss it?
