ftpconfig and guest users of Solaris 10's ftp server

  • Follow

The account of guest user works, except that contents of directories can't
be listed while login via GUI ftp clients unless ftpconfig script is
executed and system files are copied to the home directory.

The contents can only be listed via DOS ftp client's command if all system
files copied are deleted.

Those system sub-directories copied look uncomfortable for ftp access.

Solaris 10's ftp server is based-on wu-ftpd, is it possible to "hide" those
system sub-directories or like vsftpd's behavior?

Any ideas will'be appreciated.

Paul
