solaris version #2

bash-2.05# cat /etc/release
                   Solaris 7 11/99 s998s_u4SunDesktop_10 SPARC
Copyright 1999 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
                            Assembled 15 October 1999

Ok, so does this mean I am working with version 7 not 5.7
If this is the case I do not need to boot up version 8.

Thanks,
EM

It means you are running Solaris 7, which is an overall package that
