adding date to pdf files when printing

New to PDF... actually my first task in PDF world.

I have a server that hosts a lot of PDF files. What I need to do is
that when the users bring up any of the PDF files and send it to the
printer, I'd like to add today's date to the bottom of the file. Is it
possible? Am I looking at Acrobat SDK to do that? I wouldn't mind
either VB or C or C++. Appreciate the help to get this started.
