  • Follow

Hi

I have a problem with opening pdf files from IE.
For exampl, when i go to any websites with pdf files for download or
viewing. I click on the link to either open or view, it gives me a
"memory cannot be read. Click ok to terminate or cancel to debug"

Any solution to this?
Please help.

You are using GhostView to view pdf files?

Do you think the problem is on the server side or on
the client side? Does it work when you use Netscape
or Firefox? Maybe the Reader plug-in isn't configured
correctly for MSIE...

Im using IE6 and Reader 7.0. Captured the error >>>
"The instruction at "0x04c7f3d3" referenced memory at "0x00000044".
The memory could not be "read". Click OK to termimate Click on cancel
to debug

I've had the same problem once on one single computer.
It couldn't be reproduced on other computers with the
same configuration and the same versions of Firefox,
MSIE, Adobe Reader,...
I've never known what caused the problem. Eventually
the problem disappeared after replacing Adobe Reader
with a newer version.
