username protection for pdf file?

How do you add a username password protection to a pdf file?

I have tried the Document/Security/Restrict Opening and Editing option but
the only settings available are for Open and Permissions passwords.

I am trying to secure a pdf file but find that using the Restrict Opening
and Editing password options it is still easy to remove the protection with
password removal software.

Hi Chris,

You should check out the below DRM solutions (if you haven't already).
Acrobat and other PDF Creators/Editors, usually only allow you to add
Open and Permission passwords, as you've discovered.

Adobe LiveCycle Policy Server
http://www.adobe.com/products/server/policy/index.html

FileOpen Publisher
http://www.fileopen.com/product_publisher3.html

Lizard Safeguard
