I often download very large PDF files (200+ legal pages). I have an HP 1300
printer which normally prints around 20 pages per minute; however, for
whatever reason, certain PDF files print VERY slowly, like in the ballpark
of three to five pages per minute. I've tinkered with the settings in Adobe
Reader and nothing seems to help. Some PDF's print fine; some print very
slow. Anybody have any ideas why this could be happening and what I can do
to fix it?
I run XP with Adobe Reader 6.0. Thanks

Would need to see a file to comment, some possible causes:
use of CIEBased colours (calibrated RGB for example).
Office programs (esp PowerPoint) drawing patterns as millions of tiny
bitmaps.
excessive font subsetting and downloading.
There are bound to be others
