Beamer right align text

Hi all,
I have some text in a beamer slide and at the bottom i have link
"Back" which i would like to placed at the right end of the slide.
This is how i did it

\begin{columns}
\column{0.8\textwidth}
\column{0.2\textwidth}
\end{columns}

Is there some sort of alignment option which obviates the need for
columns?

Many thanks
Saptarshi

text + text
What is "text + text" supposed to do right now? It doesn't seem very useful to me. What about making "text + text" as an equivalent for "text || text"? Most strongly-typed programming languages do this. aligning text and image-text
I use a program to make Email addresses harder for spammers to harvest. It converts them to slightly blurred images using http://mindprod.com/products1.html#MASKER When I embed them in text, I have figured out how to get them to align naturally with the surrounding text, but the browser inserts extra inter-line spacing above the line containing the image. aligning text with space-normalized text
I have a string with a bunch of whitespace in it, and a series of chunks of that string whose indices I need to find. text align right
Hello I've got an issue creating a web page. I've have two pictures sitting where I want them (one left and one right) and I have a heading over the left one but cannot get text to move over the right one. Actually I did get it to go over the right one in one scenario but I had to put a line return in so that the right picture sat down lower than the left. I realize everything is done with styles nowadays but I just need (if possible) a simple html way to do this. Right aligning text in a table
I am writing some HTML and CSS that will eventually be produced by a program for running fencing tournaments. Everything is fine apart from column alignment for numbers. Have a look at http://murorum.demon.co.uk/engarde/poules.html. The V/M column should be centred, while the Indicator and HS columns should be right aligned. Since I was defining column widths within a <colgroup> I thought it would be cleaner to define the alignment of these columns there too. How to align a text of a Listbox to the right
Eric Brunel is right in that a Listbox won't provide any builtin help for this kind of things. Suppose you can afford a width of 10 chars. Suppose your lines are stored in the variable Lines - a sequence. Suppose you use a font with fixed width (the width occupied by "i" is the same like for "m"). lBox = Listbox(parent, width=10) for i in Lines: if len(i) > 10: lBox.insert(END, i[-10:]) else: lBox.insert(END, ('%10s' % i)) For more on string formatting, check chapter 2.3.6.2 in Python's documentation.
