freebsd-5.2.1+ php-4.3.9 + gd-2.0.33

Hello there,
I am tryin to compile PHP with GD support under FreeBSD-5.2.1:

# cd php-4.3.11
# ./configure \
--with-gd=/usr/local/src/gd-2.0.33/ \
--with-png-dir=/usr/local/src/libpng-1.2.8/ \
--with-zlib-dir=/usr/local/src/zlib/ \
--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local/src/jpeg-6b/

....
checking for GD support... yes
checking for the location of libpng... /usr/local/src/libpng-1.2.8/
If configure fails try --with-jpeg-dir=<DIR>
configure: error: libpng.(a|so) not found.

why libpng.(a|so) not found ?

# ls -l /usr/local/src/libpng-1.2.8/libpng.a
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 160448 May 31 12:48
/usr/local/src/libpng-1.2.8/libpng.a

What is my mistake? Where to read about correct way to install php
+ gd + libjpeg + libpng ?

doesn't look like you have compiled your png and zlib and jpeg code! i
think you need to compile those babies first and then provide the path
of the compiled code to php for compilation.

i think you can read a lot of php related stuff and how to compile
different sources into it at their site php.net

hope this helps.

Hi I have 18 inputs (arrays) which contain certain statistics and if time = 3 seconds, set the values of time step 5.0 to -9999.0. I was wondering if there is an efficient way to do this without using a lot of case statements? Thank you. Hello AdrianT, it's not really clear to me what you want to do... I suspect: you have an array containing values and you want to output them with a fixed timing of 3 seconds: you should use a for loop autoindexing trough your array and sending the value to your indicator/output/whatever. Put a "wa...

Load average differences between Apache 1.3.37/PHP 4.4.6 and Apache 2.2.4/PHP 5.2.1
Hi folks, I've encountered something rather strange. This morning, I upgraded our production server, providing web services for our library website, from Apache 1.3.37/PHP 4.4.6 to Apache 2.2.4/PHP 5.2.1. The server, which normally exhibits a load average below 1 most of the time, spiked to loads that approached 100 if left alone. The interesting part of this is that this load average seems to be almost artificial - it appears to be caused by httpd processes stuck in a "closing connection" state (TIME_WAIT, in netstat). These processes are still running according t...

optimizer_features_enable difference between 9.2.0.1/9..2.0.3/9.2.0.6?
Hi, All, I noticed for this parameter optimizer_features_enable , oracle document says: Syntax OPTIMIZER_FEATURES_ENABLE = {8.0.0 | 8.0.3 | 8.0.4 | 8.0.5 | 8.0.6 | 8.0.7 | 8.1.0 | 8.1.3 | 8.1.4 | 8.1.5 | 8.1.6 | 8.1.7 | 9.0.0 | 9.0.1 | 9.2.0} I noticed when I keep it default to 9.2.0 in init.ora, in version 9.2.0.3 and 9.2.0.5 with exact same database and exact same init.ora, oracle CBO did choose different plan. So there is some difference between 9.2.0.X versioin for the CBO. Where can we get such information about the difference? Thanks On 12 Jul 2005 23:37:28 -0700, "ch...

convert String "1;2;3;4;5;" to Array [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
I'm trying to convert a String of numbers that are separated by semicolons to an Array---totally for fun, to stretch my ruby understanding, fyi. I have a table with single smallint PRIMARY KEY field, but it is not AUTO_INCREMENT. wxDbTable::Update() works if any other field has been changed. If PRIMARY KEY field has been changed, nothing happens. I tried a few things, even some dirty tricks, declaring two variables thru wxDbTable::SetColDefs() for the field. One as not key field, insertable & updateable, and the other as key field, but not insertable and not updateable. Goal was to convince wxDbTable to use first variable to update field with a brand-new value, and the second one to hold old value for the automatic constru...
