Ask yourself why? If they have (or think they have) a good reason and you
use som trick to circumvent it you may find yourself fired.

Do you need to in your work? If so you should be able to get that firewall
opened up a little bit.

Do you have access to an outside machine? Set it up to listen for
ssh on the ftp port. ssh into it, telnet or ssh or whatever out to your
real destination.
