Allocating RAM to Solaris 10 Zones

  • Follow

I created a virtual server using Solaris 10.
This server is running 2 of my 12 processors, and I want to assign it 2
of my 24 Gb of RAM.
Is this possible, and if so, how do I do it?

(I already found how to limit RAM for a particular user; however, I
want to assign an amount to the entire Zone/Virtual Server.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to say that so far, only ressource limitation supported
in Zones is CPU (+, with ZFS I'd guess disk by creating a limited mount
target, but that's hardly a Zones feature).

Methinks this addresses it, but I get confused on containers and zones
so don't shoot me if I'm wrong.
