I have the following error message at boot:

screen not found.
keyboard not found.
Keyboard not present. Using ttya for input and output.

Ethernet address 0:14:4f:70:e9:a4, Host ID: 8470e9a4.

Rebooting with command: boot cdrom - install
Boot device: /pci@1e,600000/pci@0/pci@1/pci@0/ide@1f/cdrom@0,0:f File
and args: - install
boot: cannot open kernel/sparcv9/unix
Enter filename [kernel/sparcv9/unix]:

Note that this error happens even if i try to install Solaris 9 9/04

Anyone has any ideas of what could be the issue here?

Andy, why don't you try booting with simply boot cdrom? Instead of
boot cdrom - install. Hope that helps, other than that as per Sun,
Attempting to install Solaris fails with the message "cannot open
kernel/sparcv9/unix". The install can be from the local CDROM drive
or a JumpStart/network install.

The most common cause of this error is that the Solaris version is not
supported on the machine.
