Booting Solaris 9 x86 in single user mode from the install CD

  • Follow

Hello,

What is the procedure to boot in single user mode from the Solaris 9 x86
CD ?

On SPARC I would only have to type boot cdrom -s but on x86 I'm somehow
confused...

Thanks

After you get past the bus scan, and then pick the boot device, it
should present you with a prompt to
(b)oot or go (i)nteractive

Assuming you've picked the CD already as the device, just do a
'b -s' there.
