Can't see Serial Number in attached disks.

Hi,
I've got solaris 9 and some EMC disks attached to it.
I've run iostat -En command:
..........
c2t24d37 Soft Errors: 0 Hard Errors: 0 Transport Errors: 0 
Vendor: EMC Product: SYMMETRIX Revision: 5568 Serial No: 
Size: 2.87GB <2872074240 bytes>
Media Error: 0 Device Not Ready: 0 No Device: 0 Recoverable: 0 
........... 
Why I don't get serial number of disk ?

Because the EMC isn't reporting one.  Talk to your EMC support people -
there are flags they can turn on in the Symm to fix this, although even
then they use the last 2 digits of the serial number for some weird
stuff.
