Hi,

following problem (for me as newbie):
I cannot login to my solaris8 box as user, i just get a "Login incorrect"!
(it is a NIS-client, automounter is running)
And i get the right passwd-file by ypcat passwd.

As root it works fine, afterwards i do a "su - username" and it works fine 
(including mounting home-dir, no error messages).

Another Problem: The system does not log into files in /var/log/, what could be 
wrong?


Anyone has an idea, what could be wrong?
